Polydioxanone (PDO) Threading
PDO therapy is an effective cosmetic technique that lifts and tightens sagging skin tissues by inducing collagen production. It involves the implantation of fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads (similar to those used in medical suturing) into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using small needles.
The PDO threads gradually dissolve over 6 months but the resulting lift remains. This varies depending on the patient's age at the time of treatment, the quality of skin, degree of sagging and the number of threads used. However, studies have shown that results can last between 2-3 years.
